December 20th
Today is rainy not snowing. Today I went with Takano-san to Moiwa Mountain to ski. The mountain was one hour drive from our house. This is my first
time to do ski. I attended ski school there. I was instructed by a teacher and she was very patient and kind.
Before skiing, we warmed up our body. Ski for me is quite challenging and
I had fun. I went up to the top of the mountain by cable car(?)and from there I skied down. The scenery was breathtaking. After skiing
for about two hours we went for lunch at MOS Burger. It was very nice.
It was the best burger I have eaten in my life. Then after lunch, we went
home and I took shower because I was wet. After shower I slept for a while
because I was a bit tired. This all for today and will be continued next

December 21st
Today is my fourth day in Sapporo and I enjoy myself. I went skiing again this morning. As usual I woke up at 8 o'clock and got ready. After breakfast we drove to Moiwa Mountain again. We reached at 10.30 and started my ski class like the day before. The snow was slippery and hard because it was raining last night. It made skiing a little bit difficult. After skiing about an hour, I had a minor accident. I fell and knocked my left hand on the way down the hill. I thought my arm broke because it hurts a lot. But after checking, I discovered it was just a muscle pain. We decided to stop the lesson for today and continue tomorrow. So we went for our lunch and then back home. After resting for about an hour Takano-san brought me to a hospital to check my injury. I had an X-ray and the doctor assured me that nothing was wrong. After taking the medicine we went home and now I am typing on the computer.

December 22nd
Today I went to Moiwa Mountain again for skiing with Takano-san and also
with Maria. The weather today is very very cold. It was sunny and the snow
was good for skiing. Yesterday I was hurted and I couldn't ski well. But
today I recovered and could ski well. Today I was instructed by my teacher
and also the headmaster of the school. I can control my speed now and skied better. My teacher is also happy with my progress. Now I am
typing and later will get ready for a Christmas party in Grand Hotel. I am practicing to give speech in Japanese. Takano-san
teach me to say "Konnichiwa, goshoutai arigatou gozaimasu". I
feel nervous a bit. Now I am going to prepare myself for the party. So

December 23rd
Yesterday I attended Christmas party at Grand Hotel. It was a great party and I gave a speech. I gave speech in Japanese and everybody gave an applause when I finished. I even had a chance to knock the rice cake. We also had some games such as bingo and some performances. Today, I went skiing again. The weather today is very very cold. There were a lot of people at Moiwa Mountain because today is a public holiday. After practicing for about an hour, my test began. It was quite an easy test because all I had to do was follow the instructor. The test ended at twelve o'clock. I was curious to know my result but the instructor said it will be given tomorrow. After changing we went again to Sapporo Grand Hotel to have chicken curry for lunch. Tonight I will be going to another party at Kirin Beer Hall. I will get ready now so see you tomorrow. |
